NEW!!!!!!      The VELO                            Keep me informed

the Worlds smallest GPS/GPRS tracker Click here  for printer friendly details!!!
TariffMan have today launched their smallest GPS/GPRS tracker for use with the Motorbike and power sports industry
The VELO is the world smallest GPS/GPRS tracking device and as such it could almost have been developed specifically for the Motorbike and Power sports industry such as Jet-skis and quad bikes.
Quad band, Active GPS, Vibration/movement alert, Geofence capability, covert eavesdropping and multi-platform control. Battery powered or hardwired, the VELO has nearly all your requirements covered.
But best of all, the VELO also has an optional remote key Fob. Simply walk away from the VELO and press the Arm function and you will be informed once the device has received vibration activation via your mobile phone. You can also switch on this function via the panel. There is also a panic button that needs to be pushed to be able to send the various alerts.

To ensure that there are no false alarms, once the unit has been activated because of a motion alert, the device will switch to a five minute waiting period and if no movement occurs in this time it will go back to alert mode automatically.
If an alert does happen the device will also call the user to inform them that an alert has happened and then the user can dial and listen around the device or simply start to track the VELO.

The VELO will also perform an automatic IC reset every 24Hrs. This enables the device to not lock down. Once this happens the VELO will measure the battery voltage and inform the user. Even if the battery is below 3.5V it will inform via GPRS or SMS and shut down after.

The VELO will also inform you of any speed alerts this is simple to set via the panel.

There are times when we need to be able to switch GPS on/off; this is another great feature with the VELO. We do not require GPS on at all times because this consumes more power so this function will be welcomed by many.

GPS receivers have evolved over the last few years, so we are using the very latest low power but highly sensitive
SIRF GPS set. We also are using an active GPS antenna, we find that the performance is much better then using patch antennas. This will also ensure good GPS fixes and quickly inside buildings. We cannot guarantee every building will give you an instant fix because this does depend on the structure and what is in the path, but we are confident you will be surprised.

We all know that the GPRS/GSM network can be patchy in places. So to tackle this we are using a very good microprocessor with plenty of room for memory. So if there is no GSM/GPRS network availablethe VELO will store the positions and send them when the network becomes available.

For those that wish to use our board for asset tracking we can also supply very small step-down converters no matter what the input power supply is, allowing you to keep the VELO powered to your requirements.

Battery life is one of the most important factors when GPS devices are concerned. The VELO with GSM on will last 4 days waiting for you to request a position or place it into automatic tracking mode, or even vibration alert. With GPS on all the time you will expect around 20 hrs, but remember this can be increased hugely by remotely turning GPS off when you require.

In General the VELO has massive opportunities for many solutions because of its size and the flexibility to be able to remotely change your settings. It also has huge opportunities for those that wish to implement our board into their own projects.
From a simple Go and Track device for our loved ones, to placing into your pocket or even placing into a an asset that we are worried about. The VELO will amaze you, it’s cute, small and very powerful.
